Our little Sadie turned three ☺ We had a fun weekend of celebrating her! Her birthday was Friday and when she woke up, I said happy birthday Sadie....and she said, I'm three now??! She was pretty excited about it.
Our plan was to go to dinner and get her ears pierced that night. When Daddy got home from work she told him (demanded) that she wanted to go to the Japanese Steakhouse. And who could tell those beautiful brown eyes no on her birthday?? The kids all LOVE eating there! After we ate, we headed to the mall. Ever since Ansley got her ears pierced last year, Sadie has been talking about it. Every once in a while I'd ask her and she continued to say that she wanted to. Each time she would say...and I won't cry. I'd remind her that it would hurt for a minute and it would be okay if she did cry. She would once again insist that she wouldn't. She was right! She was soooo big about getting her ears pierced. She sat up in the chair and went in to a zone of her own. She never jumped or batted an eye as they pierced her little ears. It was no big deal to her. And she was more excited about the sucker than anything when she was done. Mommy and Daddy were so proud!! Cameron, Ansley, and Quentin were pretty impressed too.
On Sunday, we had her birthday party. She was pretty happy when Mommy started hanging the decorations. The smile on her face was thank you enough! I think she had a pretty good party. She got a lot of presents....barbies, a baby, coloring books, money, make up, LOTS of clothes and a special bookshelf from Papa Kevin. Next, was cake and ice cream. She beamed and sang along as everyone sang to her. And when it came time to blow out her candles, she just couldn't do it. She used every muscle in her body and couldn't do it. She got a little frustrated so someone else helped her. Pretty funny stuff.
Happy Birthday my little Sadie Elise. We are ALL so blessed to have you!
