This afternoon we went frog hunting. The kids wanted to go to the "big creek" (behind the neighbor's house) so off we went! We, meaning me and six kids...my four and Adam and Ethan. We had so much fun on our adventure! EVERYONE enjoyed it. We played and laughed and talked and explored along the way. I was very impressed with Sadie's "hiking" abilities...she can really hold her own on the rocks and logs, climbing over big rocks and ducking under fallen trees. I had to laugh when she said, "mom, you're making me nervous". I said, "what did you say?" And she said, "I was just kidding!"
Quentin was the leader of the pack, he was on a mission! The older three boys all explored in their own ways, loving every minute of it. Ansley bounced back and forth between helping Sadie and palling around with Ethan. She, as usual, managed to get the dirtiest. I just tried to keep up with everyone! We walked a loooong way and still had to go back. Dave and Shannon met us back at the beginning and we all loaded up in the truck. The kids all rode in the back....soooo cool!
It was soo nice to get out with the kids and forget about all the things that "need" to be done for awhile. The weather was perfect and so were the kids. I am truly blessed. ♥
