Can you say BUSY NIGHT??
May 7th is finally over! A couple weeks ago I started using cozi.com and when I entered everything that was to take place on May 7th, it was a little scary. JR is out of town all week, Cameron had a music program at school, Quentin had a baseball game, Ansley had a game (in another town), and Sadie had softball practice....slightly impossible for a single Mom, right?! Welllllll, it all worked out : ) Ansley's game was cancelled (whew!) and Aunt Melodie stepped in and was a great help! While I was making supper, I had the kids do a little cleaning up and get ready for the night. Cameron had to wear red, white, and blue....I told him to put on a pair of jeans and a red or white shirt. He came down in an Indiana t-shirt... not exactly what I had in mind! I found him a more acceptable red shirt : ) Quentin had to wear his baseball uniform. Of course, his pants were too big and he needed a belt. He said, "look mom! My pants fall down when I jump!" We found a belt. Sadie needed to put on shorts, a tshirt, and her cleats....she got the shorts. Only the shorts. I gathered the rest. Ansley was supposed to brush her hair...I think I only told her 47 times. We ate and finally everyone was ready....except me! I quickly changed my clothes, realizing I hadn't even showered today : / Seriously, who has time for that?! Oh well, fixed myself up, and out the door we went!
We made it to the diamonds to get Quentin all ready for his game. Sadie is so big about softball. She carried all of her stuff straight to the dugout and got it all setup! She's pretty proud. She knew I was leaving to go to Cameron's program and said, "now you can't take my picture". Apparently, she thinks she needs her picture taken every practice. So, I took her picture : ) Aunt Melodie came to watch Quentin's game and oversee Sadie's practice. She even texted me updates! Cameron, Ansley, and I left to go to the school. Tonight was the 6th grade band concert and 4th grade music concert. They did a great job! I was pretty proud of Cameron. He sang every song, did the movements, and spoke clearly during his speaking part. I'm pleased that he's not "too cool" for music : ) The picture was taken before the program started...and then my "battery exhausted" : /
After the concert, we came home and Melodie was here with Quentin and Sadie. Pajamas and bed! Yay! We conquered the day!
